Cutaneous allergies

Many factors are causative of skin intolerance, immune disturbances, drugs and infections. When the allergen is the responsible of inducing the immunological response, we may use the term: cutaneous allergy.

The cutaneous contact allergy appears when the skin gets direct contact with the allergen. Nickel contained in minimal amounts in jewels, may produce inflammation with redness, with swelling, itching and desquamation in the contact area.
